Venue & info

The conference will be held on the Belval Campus of the University of Luxembourg (Be aware that the University has a number of different campuses!). The Campus can be reached conveniently by train from Luxembourg-Ville. Trains from Luxembourg Gare Centrale (Central Train Station) to Belval-University depart every 15 minutes and take about 30 minutes. Public transportation in Luxembourg is cheap and reliable; taxis are very expensive.

The Mathematics Research Unit is situated on Campus Belval in the building MNO (Maison du Nombre ) and occupies the 5th and 6th floor.
All lectures take place in the building MSA (La Maison du Savoir ) in Room 3.520.
The aperitif will take place in the hall of the MNO (maison du nombre) on Monday the 4th of june at 18:15.

Travel

By plane

Luxembourg airport is connected by regular flights to all main European destinations. Bus line 16

Frankfurt-Hahn airport and Brussels-Charleroi airport are served by low-cost flights to many European destinations. A regular bus service connects the two airports to the main train station of the city of Luxembourg.

By train

There are direct trains (TGV) from Paris which take approximately 2h to reach the city of Luxembourg. Trains from Brussels to Luxembourg run hourly and take approximately 3 hours. There are also direct trains from Metz-Ville taking less than 1h and running every half an hour throughout the day. From Bonn the train takes about 3h (change in Koblenz). Accommodation

Accommodations for speakers will be reserved by our secretaries.
We ask all other participants to make their own hotel reservation.
You might consider staying in one of the following hotels:
ibis Esch Belval (On the Belval campus)
Hotel de la poste (10 min away from Esch-sur-Alzette train station)
Youth Hostel Esch/Alzette (5 min by train from the campus. Next to Esch-sur-Alzette train station)
Hotel Molitor (in between the railway station and Luxembourg city center)
Hotel Francais (city center).

WIFI

On the campus free wifi internet access will be provided to registered participants. For participants with an European eduroam account the internet can be accessed throught it at the Luxembourg university.

Social dinner

The conference dinner will take place on Thursday June 7th 2018. Participants will be asked for a small financial contribution.

Lunch breaks

There are several restaurants and snacks on the campus.
