International School on Geometry and Quantization

at the University of Luxembourg

August 31 till September 5, 2009

Topics:

  • algebraic-geometric and complex-analytic-geometric aspects of quantization
  • geometric quantization and moduli space problems
  • asymptotic geometric analysis
  • infinite-dimensional geometry
  • relations with modern theoretical physics.

This school is an activity in the frame of the International Research Training Group (IRTG) Geometry and Analysis of Symmetries and the GEOQUANT summer schools. It is jointly organized by the Mathematics Institutes of the Universities Luxembourg , Metz , and Paderborn , in collaboration with the Steklov Mathematical Institute, Moscow, Russia and the Mathematical Institute of the University of Nagoya, Japan.

Immediately after the week of the school, the 3rd International Conference on Geometry and Quantization GEOQUANT , concentrating on similar topics as the school, will take place in Luxembourg (September 7 - 11, 2009).
