MIDAS stands for Modelling - Interdisciplinary - Data (Science) - Applied - Statistics. Of course, if you wish to interpret in it the King Midas who turned everything in gold that he touched, you are free to do that... not that we had that intention anyhow in mind!
MIDAS stands for Modelling, Interdisciplinary, Data (Science) and Applied Statistics.
The team is composed of various profiles and backgrounds from different parts of the globe, all with one common denominator: mathematics.
The team works on various projects that span from sports statistics, hydrology, model interprability or space weather.
The MIDAS team regularly participates and organizes seminars or conferences.
